Prepare Your Pumpkin for Success: Pre-K - 2nd Grade Parents/Guardians

Parent/Guardians of our Pre-K through 2nd Grade student are invited to our Prepare Your Pumpkin for Success Craft Activity.

Date: October 9th
Time: 8:45 am
Location: Cafeteria at PS 52 (use main entrance)

We kindly ask that you register in advance by October 7th. You can register with the link online. Paper notices will be going home tomorrow.

CENTRAL CRISIS SUPPORT TEAM PRESENTS: FALL 2024 PARENT WORKSHOP SERIES

Check out the flier for the Parent Workshop Series Presented by the Central Crisis Support Team.  Sessions take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Notices for Picture Day went home.  Please note that Picture Day will be October 18th.  Please be sure to fill out the forms and return with envelope with your payment to your child's teacher.

Student Government Bake Sale - October 11th

Student Government Bake Sale October 11th.  Baked goods will be sold during student lunch periods.   All proceeds will benefit the students of PS 52

 

Immunizations

A healthy school setting gives all students the best chance to learn and grow. Vaccines are very important to this effort. They protect children from getting and spreading diseases that can make them very sick. For this reason, we require children aged 2-months to 18-years-old who are entering or attending child care, public school, or private school be vaccinated against certain diseases.

The number of vaccine doses your child needs may vary. It depends on:

  • age,
  • grade,
  • medical history, and
  • if they have gotten vaccine doses before.

P.S. 52  will notify you if they are missing any required vaccines. The notice will tell you how many days you have to get your child vaccinated. If your child is not vaccinated before the final day, they will be excluded from attending school.

You should bring the notice to child’s health care provider to have your child vaccinated.

To allow your child to return to school, show your child’s school a vaccine record proving that they have received the required vaccines.

Evacuation Drill Notification

Dear Parents,

P.S. 52Q our school/campus will conduct an emergency drill October 11, 2024. This drill will focus on the General Response Protocols (GRP) for an Evacuation or Soft Lockdown (highlight the type of drill being practiced). Please use the GRP Summary Guide (https://www.schools.nyc.gov/school-life/safe-schools/emergency-readiness) to discuss our responses with your child in advance of this drill.

After-School All-Stars After-school Program

 

The After-School All-Stars program is open to students in grades K-5.  Program if offered Monday - Friday from 2:30pm - 5:15 pm

Registration happening NOW!

 

Please register online to start the registration process 

Students complete TWO registrations and receive confirmation from After-School All-Stars Team before they may begin.

 

Please be advised that if your child is a bus student, there is no bus services available following after-school.  If your child is in the after-school program they must be picked up from school.
